Calcium oxide, with the chemical formula CaO, a molecular weight of 56.08 and a CAS number of 1305-78-8, is a common inorganic compound. It usually appears as a white to off-white powder or solid, is odorless, and has a relatively high melting point (2572°C) and boiling point (2850°C), with a density of 3.35g/cm³ in the solid state. In terms of chemical properties, calcium oxide is a typical basic oxide.
It reacts violently with water to form calcium hydroxide (known as slaked lime) and releases a large amount of heat. This process is called "slaking of lime", and the chemical equation is CaO + H₂O = Ca(OH)₂. In addition, it can react with acids (such as hydrochloric acid and sulfuric acid) to produce corresponding calcium salts and water. For example, it reacts with hydrochloric acid to form calcium chloride and water (CaO + 2HCl = CaCl₂ + H₂O). Under high-temperature conditions, it can also react with acidic oxides such as carbon dioxide and sulfur dioxide. For instance, it reacts with carbon dioxide to form calcium carbonate (CaO + CO₂ = CaCO₃). This property makes it commonly used to absorb acidic components in gases.
Product Features and Advantages
High Purity: Adopting advanced production technology and strict quality control system, the product purity can reach more than 98%, with low impurity content and stable performance, which can meet the needs of various high-end application scenarios.
Strong Activity: It has good chemical activity, reacts quickly with water and releases a large amount of heat, which can play an efficient role in sewage treatment, chemical production and other fields.
Reliable Quality: The production process strictly follows the ISO quality management system. Each batch of products is inspected by precision testing instruments to ensure that the product quality meets or exceeds relevant standards.
Safety Information
Hazard Description: Calcium oxide is a strong base and has irritating and corrosive effects. It is strongly irritating to the respiratory tract and can cause chemical pneumonia; oral administration can irritate and burn the digestive tract; it is strongly irritating to the eyes and skin and can cause burns.
Protective Measures: When using, personal protective equipment such as protective glasses, gloves and masks should be worn to avoid direct contact with skin and eyes. In case of accidental contact, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention in time.
Storage and Transportation: It should be stored in a cool, dry and well-ventilated warehouse, away from fire and heat sources. Do not mix with acids for storage and transportation. During transportation, it should be protected from rain and moisture.
Strict product quality testing
We have established an independent laboratory, equipped with professional high-tech talents, to strictly control product quality. During the production process, technical personnel regularly sample and test products, track, monitor and feedback product quality in real time. Every link from the storage of raw materials to the delivery of finished products undergoes strict inspection. Each truckload of goods can leave the factory only after passing the inspection, ensuring that the qualified rate of products used by customers meets high standards.

Leveraging the superior resource endowment of our own mines in Hubei, the quicklime we produce demonstrates remarkable quality advantages: not only does its effective calcium oxide content far exceed the industry average, but its extremely low impurity ratio also ensures high-performance in applications. The mine resources, which are controlled from the source, endow the quicklime with a natural purity base. Coupled with sophisticated calcination technology, each batch of products can maintain stable high activity — this not only provides solid support for efficient slag formation and deep impurity removal in iron and steel smelting, but also meets the stringent requirements for high-quality quicklime in fields such as construction and chemical industry.
